Halloween Week 2013. (One Big Update!)

We had a fun filled week full of all things fall!  We had a Fall Family Fun Day last weekend where we carved/painted pumpkins, ate stew and watched a Halloween kiddie movie.

Later in the week, the boys went to their grandparents house overnight and got to go to the church fall festival that I always went to growing up.  It's special to see my children doing the exact same things I did as a kid!

The people who host it live out on a farm and the whole thing takes place out there and in the big red barn.  There are games, camp fires, hay rides, horse riding ... the works!  I have such great childhood memories from that fall festival.  And now, my babies will, too! :)

The next day they went to a pumpkin patch and got to do all sorts of fun things like shoot corn cobs out of a cannon, play on bounce houses, and other festive activities!

On Halloween morning, Husby had to leave for an interview in Pennsylvania. :(  My parents and brother's family came over to spend the evening with us and the kiddos played and played and went Trick-or-Treating together.  So special!

Y'all gotta get a load of my precious babies.  Introducing ....

The big and ferocious T-REX!

Those of you who know me and my ole blog, know that I do ALL holidays up big!!  My favorite thing in life is to decorate our table for every holiday and birthday and surprise the boys with it when they wake up.

They. Absolutely. Loved. It.  And the best thing is that it was so easy and affordable to throw together. A couple books, candy, and some themed paper goods and bam - a fun table for the kiddos! (Oriental Trading is my BFF.)

Levi told me all day long, "Thank you for decorating the table for us, mommy! It looks SO PRETTY!" He's so good at appreciating things.  So very encouraging.

Glam*mama snatched a pet owl on the way! :)

The owl & the hot dog rode in style.

Someone was tired of taking pictures... hahaha!

Levi kept blending in to the grass with that green costume!

halloween13-24

This man dressed up like a tree is there every year to scare the kids.

halloween13-32

He lurched at Levi and you've never seen him sprint SO FAST in your life!

We ended with supper, laughs, and new jammies for the babies.

Phew!  It was such a fun week for my babies!  Now we're just waiting for daddy to get home so he can help us eat all of this CANDY! :)
