My Precious Littlest,
For some reason, you turning 7 months old has seemed "bigger" than any other month. I guess because it's your first month in the latter half of your first year, and it makes me sad! You are my baby and I'm not ready for time to go as fast as it has with your brother. I want to keep you itty ... and in my lap.
You are a big healthy boy weighing in at 20 lbs. at your check up and you are 28.5 inches tall! You are in the 75% for weight and over the 95% for height. Gentle little giant. Precious little love.
You are everywhere all the time. If you're awake, you're crawling and exploring. We haven't "baby proofed" the house yet, so I am on my toes at all hours of the day. I find you in the bathrooms, in the kitchen, and your favorite spot to hide is in your brother's room. You make your way in there and I'll find you in the middle of the floor just looking all around with a sense of awe in your eyes. So many toys!
You continue to be the sweetest little thing I've ever laid eyes on. You are seriously the easiest baby in life. I tell people all the time that I thought your brother was easy (which he was!), but you are just super duper content with all things and you always have a smile and giggle for whoever looks at you. You exude joy, and I can't help but think of our 4D ultrasound with you when you were in my tummy. You were smiling in every single photo! I think that's so sweet because that is exactly who you are today. A happy, joyful, exciting little child. People tell me all the time that you are the happiest baby they've seen. You are the delight of my heart, wee one!
You have really grown attached to your teddy bear that the ladies in the church brought by in your basket of goodies after you were born. You can't go to sleep without it! You also love your pacifier and your glow worm, but neither as much as your teddy.
When you wake up from naps or for the morning, I often never know you're awake because you lay happily in your crib and play with your glow worm. I know you're awake when I hear music start playing. You sweet little thing. Your Daddy and I watched you in your monitor the other morning and you just laid there playing with that glow worm for the longest time.
You are eating all kinds of baby foods now. Carrots, sweet potatoes, sweet peas, green beans, butternut squash, bananas, apples and pears. I still think your banana flavored rice cereal mixed with formula is your favorite food. You're a good little eater, too, and with your formula you are typically drinking 6-8 ounces at a time. You love your ba-ba.
You can say "mama", "baba", and you've even said "glam*ma" several times!
You are smitten with your big brother and you watch his every move. He makes you laugh SO hard - especially when we're in the car and he's all you have to look at. We have spent many a time in the car laughing and laughing. I can't hear you giggle without laughing myself. You are hilarious!
You, my baby, my precious gift that the Lord so generously blessed our family with. I LOVE YOU and sometimes I feel like I'm going to burst from the way I feel about you. I am so honored to be your Mommy. I am blessed to call you son.

Happy 7 months Ezra! You are such a cutie! My boy will be 1 year this month and it is so bittersweet.
ReplyDeleteNo judgement at all, just curious, I noticed you decided to do formula for Ezra from day1, just wondering why you chose nt to breast feed?
