High Tea for the Baby to Be!

I wasn't planning on having any showers for my second baby, regardless of the gender. We have all the necessities and I just didn't see the need of having more showers since we had so many generous ones with our first. My sister-in-law and dear Mom approached me about throwing a little "to-do" with just my closest friends and family, because after all, we couldn't go without celebrating our little Ezra and his precious life! Their idea of having a luncheon was just perfect and exactly what I envisioned for celebrating the upcoming arrival of our newest little boy.

The Invitation (the bling was my favorite part)! :)

We decided on having a "High Tea" at the most adorable little spot in town. It was so sweet, so fitting, so beautiful, and the greatest time gathering with the dearest ladies in my life. As I looked around the room, at 17 of the most precious girls I am blessed to know, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. I had my dear family and precious friends representing each area of my life - from birth, childhood, college, the workforce, and the entrance to adult and mommyhood. I don't know what I would do without EACH of these girls and their presence in my life. I am beyond blessed by their friendship!

Mom and Hollie picked me up and we snapped a quick photo before we left. Levi had just rolled out of bed and wanted in on the picture. Sweet boy! Check out the death grip on Glam*Ma's leg!

I also snapped a 35 week picture on my phone of my ever growing belly. (Beware: some photos are from a real camera and some from my phone.)

The tables were decorated beautifully with blue and white china and the softest blue and white flower arrangements. Just perfect for celebrating my baby boy!

The centerpiece was a delicious cake with Ezra's name and a pair of baby booties on top. So sweet!

There was another small table for four set up beside the long table, but I forgot to get a photo of it OR the people sitting there. When I looked through my photos I was sick when I didn't have pictures of them or that cute little table. There was just too much going on! (You can kind of see the table behind Hollie in the picture below.)

My friends trickled in one by one and we sat and visited for a bit before the tea started.

I am always 9,000 degrees these days, so when they came around to pour the tea, I asked for a glass of iced tea. Ha! How appalling to drink iced tea at a tea party! But I just couldn't help it. Momma was burnin'!

They tried to take my tea cup away, but I kept it and poured my iced tea in there. HA!!

Several of my friends did the same thing! Don't tell! :)

The food was delicious! We had lots of little sandwiches on the cutest stands: cucumber, chicken salad and tuna salad. We had scones with cream and preserves, warm tarts and quiche. And for dessert, we had cake. It was so yummy!

Ezra received so many great things! I was so appreciative of all the thought and time everyone put into their gifts. Several people even brought gifts for Levi and that warmed my heart so much that it moved me to tears. SO sweet and thoughtful. This gift came packaged especially cute! :) I just love it and am using the mini suitcases as decor in his room! Thanks again, Lindsey! :)

Each guest was given a beautiful bag of tea themed party favors. SO cute! (Horrible photo quality!)

A can of tea, a teapot kitchen timer, a mini teapot and a teapot shaped tea diffuser. Love!

What a sweet sweet time! I am so thankful to my Mom and SIL for putting so much time and effort into making this celebration for my baby Ezra boy so special. It was absolutely perfect, and I left feeling so blessed and fortunate for the close support system in my life who encourages me and celebrates right alongside of me.

Now we're ready for his arrival! :)
