A Levi Fun Day!

Yo Gabba Gabba LIVE came to our town last weekend and since it is Levi's absolute favorite show, we knew we just had to go. That, and I am a sucker for all the "LIVE" shows - they're just too much fun. Um, you know how they say having a child makes you a child? I am why they say that.

Anyway, we started the day by having breakfast at an old local diner. It was such an enjoyable morning with my handsomes.

The kind sir at the checkout counter gave Levi a quarter to get a handful of jelly beans, and as he devoured them in the car, he ended up choking and throwing up all of his breakfast. So, we headed to Target to get a new shirt to wear. Then, we went to Yo Gabba Gabba!

We had been telling Levi about this for days leading up to it, so he was so very excited. When they took the stage, Levi froze. He did not know WHAT to do/think/say. He just stared at them with a look of wonder and awe and occasionally looked at us and would die laughing. It was so funny!

During intermission, we ran up and bought him a toy.

I am here to tell you that no child has ever loved this toy like my son. He carries it with him everywhere he goes. He even tried to take it to Sunday School the next morning. It plays 4 songs from YGG and you can even hook your iPod up to it and play your own songs. Fun! He loves it.

We have been to several LIVE shows, and this was hands down our favorite. It was really, really fun - and the REAL DJ Lance Rock was there (and so was Biz). I was so excited! :) Husby and I enjoyed ourselves as much as Levi.

My favorite part was the fall leaves that came flying out at us, and then the snow. Oh, and when they did the Puppet Master Dancie Dance. That's my favorite dance on the show.

At the end, they started to sing the Goodbye song, and I looked over at Levi and he had giant tears in his eyes! (I have to admit, for some reason, that song makes me want to cry, too!! I don't know what it is!)

He knew what was coming. And he started to frown.

It was the saddest thing, ever. He did NOT want to say goodbye to his YGG friends. When they exited the stage, he lost it.

"I don't want to say goodbye!" :(

I eyed this super cute Brobee backpack on some kids and decided to get one for Levi. He will NOT take it off - ever. He wants to wear it all the time.

We had an awesome time and hope to go back next year. It was such a fun filled day. Moments that I treasure!

  13. No clue what Yo Gabba Gabba is, but it looks like you guys had a great time together! I can't wait to take my girlies to the ballet and other 'live' shows like that. My mom did that for us growing up, and I LOVE them still. I bet your little guy had a blast with you and D!
