Every year, it is tradition for my Mom, Weebie and me to head off to Northwestern Arkansas and go to a pumpkin patch and to an annual fall festival/craft fair. I have blogged about it the past three years, so it may look familiar to some of you. It's a always a magical day and I have some of the sweetest memories from these days spent with my baby boy and my Mom. We always have an absolute blast together!

Here are some photos and captions from our day.

We started off at the pumpkin patch bright and early! Levi did NOT want to leave and he was tearing through that place with such excitement. It was the sweetest thing .... but made it hard to get many pictures! :)

I have pictures of him on these type of pumpkins in this same location for every year of his life! I need to put them side by side and compare them. So sweet is he!

He was "a little bit scared" (as he said) of this slumped over faceless scarecrow (and for good reason, baby!), so Glam*Ma was the buffer. Then, he loved it.

After we left the patch, we headed out to the craft fair. After several hours of browsing, we stopped for rest and nourishment. And a few cuddles, of course. Where there is a Weebie, there is lots of cuddles.

And, I did not realize I was in this photo, so here I am mid-chew a cheeseburger and looking rather mad. I promise, I was NOT! :)

Some of these photos are from my phone - hence the poor quality.

After almost four hours at the fair, Levi was exhausted and full from all the treats he had. He had a little accident and "got sick" all over his little shirt. Wouldn't you know, we were right by a booth selling children shirts, so Mom ran over and bought one.

It said Little Hunter. Hilarious. He looked like such a ragamuffin by the end of the day. But that didn't stop him from having fun!

Glam*Ma picked up lots of fun little things for him along the way, but the one thing he wanted with all of his heart was this ...

A CANE! Hilarious. He picked it up and said, "I'm a little shepherd boy!" So, of course, Glam*Ma bought of for him and he carried it the entire rest of the day. We called it his hiking stick. And it was bigger than he is. That boy has some muscles!

He loved watching the grist mill go 'round and 'round, and really enjoyed throwing rocks off the ledge into the creek.

We spent a total of 5 hours there that day and snagged some Christmas gifts, fun treasures, toys and yummy goodies - but the best part of the whole day was the time and laughter that the three of us spent together.

We will see you next year, War Eagle. Thank you for the memories!

  4. What beautiful pictures. The ones of Weebie and your mom are absolutely precious! Put that in a frame and wrap it up for Christmas pronto- there's just such a sweet sentiment to it!
I was looking through your pictures and I noticed that Weebie's balance and rotation often look like they are off. In some pictures he seems to stand normally, but in others (like the one of him looking over the cement wall), his left leg and foot seemed to be oddly turned in. Then I looked at some of your other recent posts about Weebie, and noticed the same thing in some of those pictures. If this is something you have already noticed and addressed w/ your pediatrician, great. I just wanted to bring it up, because I know these little patterns of stance or posture sometimes get missed when we as moms are so busy coordinating the big picture. I do hope it turns out to be nothing though.
