I Met My Little Buttercup.

Yesterday I finally got to meet another love of my life! It was absolutely amazing. I will never tire of seeing the Lord's creation within a mother's womb - so, so beautiful.

I am a day short of being 9 weeks, so I had an internal ultrasound done. As soon as that precious little angel face popped up on the screen, it took my breath away. Buttercup was so teeny, so angelic, so perfect!

Husby wasn't able to get away from the hospital to accompany me, so Glam*Ma came up to help wrangle Levi as I had my appointment. All day long I told Levi we were going to go see a picture of his baby brother/sister and he was oh so excited! As soon as they dimmed the lights and we looked at this little miracle inside of me, Levi got really quiet and just stared and stared. He couldn't take his eyes away .... he was in love!!

Glam*Ma videoed the ultrasound monitor with her iPhone and I sent the video to myself. The entire rest of the day, all Levi wanted to do was "watch my baby". He calls it his baby. SO sweet. He totally understands that the baby is inside of me and he kisses my tummy all the time. My heart just melts.

The baby was measuring perfectly and the little heartbeat was in the 160's-170's - FAST little booger! The baby love looked to be sleeping and was just so little and sweet laying there. Oh, the LOVE!

(I compared Levi's first ultrasound with this one. Levi is on top and was about 1.5 weeks older than the Newbie.)

Seeing my precious one really made this pregnancy realistic - instantly. I am just so in love. So in love, and so extremely blessed.

Thank you, God. Thank you for the incredible gift of children. They are a joy that is simply unmatched.

How WONDERFUL are Your works.

I bet it is a girl! My little girl's beat was always mid 160's. :)

I am having a boy this time around and his heart beat has always been in the lower numbers.

  14. Ultrasounds always bring tears to my eyes. I just don't understand how anyone can't see what a miracle those precious little lives are. I was amazed to find out that even before their limbs, head, body, etc. have formed, every cell knows what its "job" will be. What a precious blessing from God.
