2 for the 4.

We had two 4th of July celebrations this year and they were so much fun. The first celebration was at my house and we grilled burgers, played in the yard and then headed down to my little town's spectacular fireworks show. We had so many fun things to do in the backyard for the kiddos: the pool, the fort, the trampoline, the sandbox, the sprinklers and the slide. It was like a giant obstacle course for them as they bounced from one thing to the other. So fun!

I thought I would be festive and make a cake. From scratch. For the first time ever.

BLUE VELVET!!!

I got the idea and recipe from Pinterest, and thought it would be ideal for the 4th. It was delicious and a big hit. Yay!

The next day, we headed over to some families house and had a big bash out there.

Levi tripped and fell on his bike the day before and made a boo boo. But he was still patriotic! :)
