Just Some Things.

Thank you all for the EXCELLENT looking recipes that you have sent my way. I am in the final stages of preparing my "short list" for the ones I will prepare this coming week, and boy howdy, that's one tough job. Every recipe sounds absolutely delightful. You are welcome to keep submitting entries and you are also welcome to sign me up for Weight Watchers after this is all said and done. ;)

I have watched approximately 8 Christmas movies so far this season and not ONE of them has been a classic. They've all been the cheesy "made for TV" movies. Some of the best kind, in my corny opinion. :)

This has already been the busiest holiday season I have ever experienced. Friday was the first free night that we had in over two weeks! I tweeted earlier this week that I think I forgot how to cook. Egads!

Egads. They always said "egads!" in Archie comic books. I thought it was hilarious, but who ever says such things in real life? Some things just sound and look better written. Egads is one of them.

I think I might start saying it out loud. Just to see what kind of looks I get.

"There's a spider!! EGADS!!"

"Egads! You don't look too hot."

"I think I went over budget with Christmas shopping ... egads." (I er, I er, just kidding, Husby.)

Um. Anyway.

....

I loved Archie comics. Archie and Betty were my favorites .... but I liked the way Veronica's hair shimmered so much that there looked to be a purple streak. I also thought Jughead's hamburgers always looked delicious. And Reggie was just annoying. He had the purple streak, too. I've GOT to find out what kind of shampoo they used.

I bet it's Prell.

Well folks, the ole blog will probably be hit and miss this week due to the hubbub of life and the wonderful celebrations that accompany this holy week. I hope you are each delighting in your families and making memories to last a lifetime.

So, here's to logging off and enjoying the magical wonderment that is CHRISTMAS WEEK!

(I will probably pre-write a few to post later this week. But if I'm not on and commenting on your lovely blogs, you'll know why.)

Love to you!

  5. We have watched a ton of Christmas movies this year. My favorites so far? Christmas in Canaan and Silver Bells. Of course, my all time favorite will forever be White Christmas. You just can't beat that one. "Snow-It won't be long before we'll all be there with snow. Snow-I want to wash my hands, my face and hair with snow"
