Kiddie Adventures!

On our little getaway last week, we wanted Levi to have as much fun as he possibly could and experience as much as his age allowed. So what did we do? We hunted out activities conducive to a one year old!!

First of all, we found a little Kiddy Play Land. There were several little rides for tiny tots, but Levi was only big enough for one. I wasn't quite sure how he would react, since he hated the Merry-Go-Round a few weeks ago, but we purchased a ticket, crossed our fingers and off he went!

As you can see by the look on his face, he wasn't quite sure what to expect.

Branson-38

We cheered him on told him how much FUN he was about to have.

Branson-39

He (solemnly) enjoyed it for a few minutes, but after about 6 times around, he had had it. (I think because he could hear our voices but he couldn't find our faces.)

And the next time I saw his face round the corner, this is what we witnessed.

BREAK MY HEART!

The nice ride guide stopped it and Weebie was more than thrilled to get off. As soon as he saw my face and heard me telling him how good he did, he burst into smiles and started clapping for himself.

Little baby.

(This is b-a-d, b-a-d, picture of me, but I wanted to show a picture of the ride, and this is all I had. And I made it black and white to try to make it better. Ha!!)

He much preferred this ride to the other.

So we let him ride it six times.

Next on the agenda for Family Fun was this show!

I was a little unsure if Levi could sit still for 2 hours, but he absolutely LOVED it. He sat and watched like such a big boy and never made a peep. Go Weebs!

Every evening, we went down to the hotel pool. We bought Weebie a little floating thing and for the first 20 minutes on the first night down there, he would NOT let go of us. He was wrapped around my waist and neck like a leech!!

He eventually loosened up and we couldn't get him out of there!

Another "Weebie Event" was to Ride The Ducks! They were shut down for a couple of days due to the accident in Philadelphia, but opened up the day we were set to head home, so we squeezed it in before leaving town!

Branson-53

He had so much fun and LOVED when we hit the water!

The captain of the boat even let Weebie drive it!

Though there weren't a TON of things for one year olds to do, we managed to find plenty of fun family affairs that provided many laughs and memories. I know little Levi probably won't remember any of this when he gets older, but we will be sure to tell him of how much fun HE made this vacation for his Mommy and Daddy.

  5. Wow, you guys had a blast!!! How awesome. Levi looked like he had such a great time. We haven't been on a family vaca yet that's really geared toward the babies...thinking about going for Disney this fall. I think we're more excited about taking them than they'll be. It's so fun showing your kiddos all the things that you enjoyed...brings out the kid in us :)

  6. We're headed to Branson this weekend with our almost 3 year old. Even if there isn't tons for him to do, I'm looking forward to being away for a while and just relaxing together.
