Ya'll Are My Favorite!

Blogging is such a funny little hobby. You start writing about your life and a select few friends and family members check in on you a few times a week to see what you're up to. Little by little, other bloggers find your little spot in Internet Land and you maintain a little group of followers that become interested in your life for whatever reason and you just keep 'a blogging. Then so-and-so tells so-and-so and before you know it, you are running into complete strangers who read your blog and recognize you when you're out and about!

It's the craziest thing, and I absolutely love it!

Nothing puts a spring in your step like meeting a fellow blogger and them taking the time out to come say hello!

Blogging is such a fantastic way to document your life. It's also a really neat way to meet similar people, gain creative ideas, find encouragement, begin huge prayer chains and lift other people's spirits by sharing the little blessings that you find out of everyday life. I've been blogging for a few years now and I absolutely LOVE hearing from, meeting up with and running into people who read this little portion of the WWW that I occupy. It's a neat feeling to know that there are many people out there, most of which I don't even know, who are rooting for my family and genuinely wanting the best for us.

I get many e-mails every week from readers, some of which just want to say hello, some with questions, some who just want to offer up encouraging words, and others who remind me that even outside of the Blogosphere, I pop up in their thoughts.

If that's not the sweetest thing, I don't know what is!

A girl named Christa, from Texas, (Hi Christa from Texas!) e-mailed me yesterday just to tell me she was passing through a little town while traveling for work, spotted this sign and pulled over to snap a picture of it. For me!

Now, besides this being the Best Named Town On Earth, it just warmed my heart to know that Christa from Texas thought of me when she saw the sign and took the time to document it and send it my way. I just love stuff like that.

Blogging is interesting because though we often don't know the person on the other side of the screen, we get a sense of who they are by what they write. I truly hope that you can get a feel for who I am by what I write, and that as I pop into your home each morning (or whenever you check this), that I leave you encouraged or at least with a little smile. :)

I try my hardest to respond to every e-mail, wish I could respond to every comment, and long for more time in my day so that I can acknowledge all of the so very sweet awards that you guys send my way. When reading your comments, I often click on your name and read your blogs too. You all inspire me to write more, you encourage me with your words and some of you feel like real life friends (and some of you ARE real life friends because we've been able to meet up and develop a friendship! Yay!).

I just wanted to write this to say "Thank You" to everyone who invites me into their lives by clicking on to this page. It's a privilege to "know" you and an honor that you are out there listening (Errrr...reading).

I love you, Bloggie Friends! You make me smile (and often fall on the floor laughing at your wit) every single day.

  7. I'm not even sure how I stumbled across your blog, but I keep coming back. You and I are very different people, but our core values about family are very much the same and I really enjoy your posts about Levi. I especially liked the "peek-a-boo" post a few months back. So cute!
