My Son, The Player.

Ladies and (the few) Gentleman, it is official.

Levi is a Ladies Man. An Unashamed Flirt. A Player.

When he was but a wee one, I noticed how he could work anyone around him like putty in his hands. I chalked it up to cute-baby-boy-ness, but the older he gets, the more I realize that he knows exactly what he's doing.

The ladies in the nursery at Church have told me more than once that he and another little girl "made eyes" and smile at each other the entire time. I have picked him up time and again only to find him off with a girl laughing and passing his pacifier back and forth. That BETTER NOT be the baby version of kissy kissy or I might have to give Levi his first spanking.

The other night we were at Applebee's enjoying a quiet dinner out. Husby picked him up and Levi caught the eyes of six ladies in the booth behind us. I was facing them, so I could see the looks on their faces and guys, I saw my son in action. He stared at them for a long time as they ooh'ed and aww'ed over him, and then as soon as he had their undivided attention, he threw out his famous "shy smile" where he flashes that killer grin and buries his head on his daddy's shoulder. In unison, the women gushed "AAAWWWWWWW" and that's all it took. Levi smiled from ear to ear knowing exactly the effect he had on them. One woman squealed, "what a little player you have there!" and I rolled my eyes and said, "oh, I know it."

Ornery little boy.

The next weekend we were at a mexican restaurant in a city a few hours away and one of my blog readers recognized me and came up to say hello! It was a delight to meet her and let me tell you, Levi was one smitten kitten. Never in my life have I seen him react the way he did to this lovely girl. She bent down to talk to him and Levi smiled the entire time with a glazed over look of love in his eyes. He latched on to her arm and kept reaching out for her to take him. I'm telling you, he would not take his eyes off of her! It was the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Virtually every time we are in a restaurant, Levi captivates whoever is seated next to us. Usually the women. He bats his eyes, throws out every expression in the book and smiles as if he'd been waiting all his life to see them.

He knows exactly what he's doing. He knows he's got us all in the palm of his hand, and he knows exactly the right moves to make to make us all fall in love with him even harder.

Levi Alan,
I've got your number. Mommy's going to keep a close eye on you, you little booger.
It's okay to be a Ladies Man as long as that lady is and will always remain - MOMMY.
Got that?
Kiss Kiss!
Love,
Mommy

  6. Bean is the only boy in his class at daycare. They call it his haram. He has eyes for this one little girl though. Scarlett. She and bean sit next to each other all day. They squeal when they see each other. They eat together in side by side highchairs. It's hysterical! And you're right - they know exctly what they are doing!!
