Eggstravaganza (Yes, definitely overused).

Well, it was definitely a weekend to remember. Let me share....

If you remember anything I've said about my Mom, you know that she goes out of her way to make people feel special. She just has that gift. My brother and I told her that we would all be in for Easter and it was the first time since Christmas to be home. She had a load of goodies waiting for us when we got there!

These special treats were delicious.

We also walked in to a feast! Mom prepared lots of food and set the table springy and beautifully.

When I saw the bountiful feast she made, I laughed and said "Mom! This is exactly what you made the night I told you I was pregnant! What if Luke and Hollie (my brother and sis-in-law) came in and said that they were pregnant tonight?! Wouldn't that be weird?"

She laughed at me. Husby rolled his eyes. He tells me that I always think everyone is pregnant.

So, everyone gathered around together a few hours later and I snapped some pictures of the food. Y-U-M!!!!

We had muenster chicken (my favorite), the best mac-n-cheese in the WORLD, broccoli casserole, twice baked potatoes and huge delicious wheat rolls. Man oh man, it was heaven.

So. We gathered around the food, grasped hands and prayed.

Hollie jumped up and said, "hold on - I got you a little Easter present."

I nudged mom and smiled at Husby.

She came back with a little Easter bag with an egg in it. "It's no big deal," she said, "but open it at the same time".

I nudged Mom even harder and smiled at Husby even larger.

This is what we saw:

I screamed, "I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!" and threw my arms around my brother in congratulations. I am so excited that Levi will have a little cousin so close in age and even better, in the same town! They will be exactly 6 months apart. How fun is that?

I told Mom next time she wants someone to announce their pregnancy, just go ahead and make muenster chicken. It works every time. Well, in our family, apparently.

After a long and relaxing celebratory dinner, we retired to our rooms for a cozy nights sleep. Look at what was waiting for us!

Forget an Easter basket, Mom made us an Easter Eiffel Tower! It was full of fun gift cards and money. Um, hello ---- it was amazing!!! I screamed. A lot.

However, she did tell us to forget it being about us anymore. After this, it's all about Levi and new Baby B. :) Hee Hee.

And our bathroom was stocked with everything and anything we might need.

Check my preggy belly in the mirror. Haha! Hilarious.

And, because they're pretty, my parents room and their ammmmmazing bathtub that I am in love with.

I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.
