Just the 6 of us.

I am extremely blessed to have the family that I do. They are 5 of my favorite people in the world! The six of us often get together for adventures, travel, eating...you name it, really, and it is always an amazing time! We all have such a unique relationship because we genuinely LOVE to be together. Some of my sweetest memories are with these people.

It is always hard to get all 6 of us in the pictures, because one of us always has to be the one taking it. Mom is usually the one taking it because she is camera happy.

One special member of this group of 6, is my brother Luke.

Here he is with his wife, Hollie.

He is the one of the group to ALWAYS keep things light hearted, to keep us rolling in hysterics and to perk us up when we are all exhausted. There is never a dull moment with Luke around and it has been that way my entire life. He keeps you on your toes, never knowing what he will come up with next. He is an extremely talented writer, photographer, song writer, musician, video maker/editor - really anything that he touches turns to gold because he always pours all of himself into whatever he is interested in. He is a guy of many, many extraordinary talents.

This weekend, we celebrated his birthday and had a fabulous time. We dined at Flemings and then went back to he and Hollie's house for cake and presents. We got an unexpected 8 inches of snow this weekend and could not make it down their driveway. The 6 of us hiked waaaaay down to his house for the evening celebration after dinner and nearly froze our faces off.

It was worth it though. Most definitely.
(Pictures taken with my phone - sorry for the quality!)

He stoked a fire for us to warm us up a bit!

Glamma loves her Flipper!

The six of us are about to turn into the seven of us, and I can't wait to bring a new addition to the family. He will have the best Glamma, Grandpa, Uncle and Auntie in the world!
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  12. It's so nice to hear when people love and apprecaite their families. I feel the same way about mine but it seems like a lot of people these days have more bad to say about their family members than good.

  13. Loved this. It's great to see a family that really enjoys spending time together.

That cake is fantastic! It reminds me of the Ace of Cakes show on Food Network. If you don't already watch it, you need to.

  14. My family always has the problem of one person being left out in all the pictures, too! Have you seen this tripod: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8293152&type=product&id=1172881564441 ?

We invested in one, and it's amazing!! You can throw it in your purse, and when you want to take a group photo, just bend it around a tree or pole or something and set the timer. I love it. :)

  19. I love your family so much. I have so many precious memories of Luke and E hangin out and hanging on--to bank buildings, Luke made bombs, clay creatures set on fire,....I could go on and on. E misses the Blacks as does Eric and Keri and Me.
Glamma is going to be one of the best grandmothers ever. I can't wait to hear her stories.
She already told me baby Levi was smiling right at her the other day. And I'm sure he was.
