Top Moments of 2008

In no particular order.

Reading a positive pregnancy test for the first time.
Dinner atop the Space Needle in Seattle, Wa. with the love of my life.
Telling Husby that I'm pregnant.
Watching my parents reaction to telling them they are going to be grandparents.
Getting lost on the way to Mt. Rainer in Washington and stumbling upon the best little Swiss-esque eatery.
Being with my best friend the night she gave birth to her beautiful daughter and hearing, "It's a girl!" from her husband.
Seeing my baby on the Ultrasound.
Finding out he is a boy.
Celebrating our third anniversary.
Watching fireworks with my family outside of a Barnes and Noble in the heat of a Texas night...with a cold Starbucks in hand.
Standing next to one of my dearest friends as she married the man of her dreams.
Watching that same friend battle cancer with the strongest fight and most diligent heart I have ever seen.
Seeing two of my great friends be pregnant with twins.
Multiple friends give birth and love on their little babes.
Watching Mom imitate a Rockette dancer.
High tea at Buschart Gardens.
Learning a new hobby with a friend.
Fun day and weekend trips with my husby.

As I look back on this past year, I am overwhelmed over how much has happened and all that God has done. I can not wait to see what 2009 brings to my little family!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS!

I will be back on the 5th!
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  8. What a great year!

I saw your Nana the other day! She brought my mom spinach dip and a lemon meringue pie for Christmas. She said she was running late, because she had to take R to buy four shirts earlier that day--he woke up that day and demanded that he get four shirts. Ha! Not 2 or three, but exactly four shirts. LOL!

    Happy New Year!

  25. Hi! I'm reading your blog for the first time today and just want to say that I think it's a wonderful plan that you have.

I recently went to stay-at-home mom this year and it was the best decision of my life! I was so scared to make the decision but God kept giving me answers when I had doubts. If you listen to God you'll never fail. Just follow Him with all of your heart and He'll show you the way.

Congratulations on your baby boy and best wishes in your endeavors!

    In Christ,
    Danita
