Sky Diving.

I am sorry it has taken me so long to update from the weekend. I have a nasty head cold/fever/sore throat thing going on and I just climbed out of bed about an hour ago. As I lay here on the couch to update, I have two tissues crammed up my nose. I look beautiful.

But let's forget about that and pretend I am perfectly healthy and feeling fine. K? K.

Well, Husby decided to do something wild and crazy to risk his precious little life the other day. His mom got a gift certificate a year ago for he and his dad to go sky diving for their birthdays. It was for husby's 25th b-day and his dad's 48th. Guess how old they are now? 26 and 49. Hee Hee - I delayed it for an entire year.

I was terrified of the idea of my lovie flying out of a plane and headed toward the ground at 150 mph. I had visions being a widow and leading a sad depressing life. So, I managed to delay the whole thing for an entire year. The gift certificate expires in February, so I tried my hardest to prolong it just a few more months.

It didn't work.

They decided this weekend was the prime time to take their jump. And I was a basket case.

They jumped tandum which means they were hooked to another guy (that made me feel a LITTLE better). They had to take a small class to learn what to and what not to do.

Husby and his dad are in blue. The Jump Masters are the other two guys. The one in the red was husby's Jump Master and his name was "Sweed". He was from Sweden.

Reeeach, Husby! Reach for the stars!

How they all fit in there....we will never know. It was magic. It's the only explanation.

And then...they strapped on their harnesses. es. es.

And... they copied each others stance.

Doesn't this crack you up? Aw, so cute.

Off they go! They loaded up in plane after I hugged, kissed and told husby I loved him and goodbye. :*( I was scared.

Bye husby.

I was praying ninety to nothing at this point.

We waited and waited to catch a glimpse of them. They free fell for 29 seconds and then floated down under the canopy for over 5 minutes.

There he is!

Floating high in the sky above the clouds.

Float on down to me husby!

Landing is vital! Go, husby, go!!

Husby landed and yelled, "THAT WAS GREAT!"

He loved it. I am glad he finally got to do it and it definitely conquered my fears. Guess what? Next time, I'M JUMPING TOO!!!!

  16. I wanted to do that so bad for my 30th birthday, but I kept putting it off and putting it off. I told myself that I'd definitely get around to it before I had another birthday at least!

Then I got pregnant. Oops. So much for that! Maybe for 40....
