TIMES UP!! A Fall-tastic Giveaway!!

I am working on numbering and random.org-ing the winner! Stay tuned!
***
I don't know about you, but this cool(er) weather has me excited for Fall. It is just around the corner, and I can hardly wait! In honor of my favorite season, I will be doing several fabulous giveaways throughout the upcoming months. Are you excited?!

The first giveaway starts today and ends Tuesday at 9:00am. I will use a Random Integer to choose the winner from www.random.org.

I am so happy to host Google Ads on my site because it allows for these fun prizes! Let's give google a round of applause!

And now on to the good stuff - the PRIZE!

A set of six beautiful Autumn toned Melamine dishes!! Melamine dishes are my new latest addiction. They are making SO many cute ones these days and they are great to eat off of because they are very hard/durable plastic and easy to clean up! Wouldn't these be great for a fun-fall-get together?

(sorry for the glare on the plates - my "chandy" (chandelier, but I affectionately call her chandy), was shinin' a little too bright!

>

The colors are: dark brown with gold flecks, light green with brown/gold flecks and cream with brown/gold flecks. The flecks really make them sparkle. So pretty.

See?

Ah, so lovely!

And all you have to do to win it is answer this question:

If they made a movie of your life, what type of movie would it be, what would it be about (one specific event in your life or your entire life?) and what celebrity would you want to play you?

*****You can enter ONCE per person... UNLESS you put a link to my site talking about my giveaway on your site. If you do that, you can enter twice and increase your chances to win! Just leave me another comment saying you linked me and viola - you've entered twice. :) *****

GOOD LUCK!!
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

Comments

  1. It would be a drama and I think it would have something to do with following my instincts and how that's worked out every single time to great advantage. There could have been some major negative repercussions if I hadn't insisted on following my gut. I think Julianna Margulies should play me.

  2. Very pretty dishes! Ok, now to answer your questions...

I'd have it about my whole life, not just a specific event. It would be kind of like the Lifetime movie channel movies I see from time to time...high school honors student from strict Catholic family goes wild after school, has 3 marriages, rough times, spouses with substance abuse, never any money, dealing with teen with mental health and own substance abuse issues, and younger daughter who is smart and so far unaffected by my crazy life... but also, for every bad time, I'd have to put in a good one too-since there have been many. Some things I regret, some I have learned from, and some I still have to deal with. Hmmm, I'd like Melanie Griffeth to play me, she was a much wilder teen than I was, but she's had it rough in her own life, and she has her own Latino man, Antonio Banderas-my ex is Latino and my current hubby of 10 years is as well, so she would certainly understand being married to one!

  3. I JUST looked at these dishes (Target?)!! They're soo cool. Okay..I guess it would be a dramedy. Some humor, some drama! It would have to chronicle my whole life, because it would take all 35 years to get some interesting enough stories into 2 hours! And lastly, it would star Gwyneth Paltrow. We look nothing alike, but she's the very best thing out there. She's spectacular!

    ReplyDelete
  4. A movie based on my life would definitely be a drama and it would be about my daughter's birth and the 9 months leading up to it.

    Oh...this is a GREAT giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Awesome giveaway! A movie about me would be some dumb Lifetime drama...or a bad Daniel Steele novel, ha ha. However, it would for sure have a happy ending.

I would like Angelina Jolie to play me because then everyone would remember me as looking like her!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I am like a month behind on your blog. Someday soon it will be cruddy weather outside and I will catch up!!! :)

But anyway. My life would be a romantic dramedy (comedic drama) about growing up with mamma drama (read: a mother who taught me I was never good enough) to somehow miraculously finding my wonderful husband who turned my life around and made me HAPPY. Who would play me? Oh my goodness. I have a huge smile like Julia Roberts so I guess her. :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. It would be a comedy with a little romance and drama thrown in.....I would want Drew Barrymore to play me, and it would just be a movie of all the ups and downs in my life....And it would show how God has a sense of humor and with Him all things are possible. And in the end.....I get the guy and he loves me.;)

    ReplyDelete
  8. You are so funny! I'm going to enter this time because I think those dishes are darling!!

I believe that my life would be a romantic comedy?? I don't know, maybe not, but lets go with it! I think it would be my whole life. Honestly if you followed me around for a day you would laugh and cry at all the crazy things that happen. ha Anyways, thats all.

And who would play me?! Well I would HOPE Cameron Diaz but it would probably be more like Renee Zellweger from Bridget Jones Diary :)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Since I'm going on vacation I am not going to enter, but it sounds like a great giveaway! I'll check back for the next one!

  10. thanks for filling me in!

if my life was portrayed a movie, it would def. be in the comedy/adventure category...i'm not sure if it'd be a box-office hit, but i would like to think that it would be pretty interesting.
i'd love for kate hudson to be me! i think she's super cute.

    ReplyDelete
  11. LOVE the dishes! My movie would be a romantic comedy because I have liked my husby since the 6th grade. (I love him now, just so you know!) I don't know who would play me, maybe Sarah Jessica Parker. IDK! I just want the dishes!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Thanks for your comment on my blog..and I'm glad to enter your little contest :) Ok, a movie about my life...I would call it Lost and Found, about my journey as a teenager to find myself when all I really needed was to find Christ. Packed up and went to Bible school as a last resort and was surprised at how my life changed after a few short months. I would also include how my husband and I met. Actually, the whole movie could be about that...it's a long story. Oh, and Winona Ryder would play me. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  13. I linked you on my site. Thanx.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Let's see...romantic comedy that would center on either Jonathan and I meeting and falling in love (I mean, seriously: friends with his brother, sent to work as ski-lift operators at Breckenridge, fall in love on the slopes, I went down crazy double-black runs just to impress him, another girl threatened to steal him away, he pursued me, trying to figure out love back at college, etc.) or our 2-month adventure through Europe after we had been married only 1 year. As for the actress...Rachel McAdams (of Notebook fame). And Jonathan would be played by the guy from My Best Friends Wedding...whatever his name is.

    ReplyDelete
  15. A movie about my life would be a comedy-drama, it would prob be one of those cheesy Christian movies. It would most likely center around being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 16 and useing the strength of God to make it through. And how it would eventually lead to me giving my story at church camp and meeting my wonderful husband through that! I have no idea who would play me, well maybe Camaron Diaz because she is tall and goofy like me, but she would have to gain a few pounds! I want those plates!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh this is so fun!!! I want to win!! I was going to say that I would like to make a romantic comedy, but if we used Dave & I as the characters, it would probably end up being more of a porno. That was probably TMI, but it's past my bedtime, I have enjoyed a few glasses of wine and it seems that is the only thing on my mind. :) I should have not read blogs tonight. Oh well, we're happy, young, married, and totally in love!!! haha :) have a good night!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Linked you to my blog...I hope I WIN! C'mon #18!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thanks for coming over to visit!!

These plates are so cute and festive!

The movie would be a drama and would be about my entire life....there are a whole series of events that have occured to fill at least one movie and a sequel! As for the actress....Meg Ryan!

PS. Love your blog...I will be back for sure!

    Lisa

    ReplyDelete
  19. It would be a comedy about how sassy and daring I CAN be but am not all the time. Reese Witherspoon is the only one who could play me and do it right!!

    cute dishes!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think I have a new favorite blog! Ok. Hmmmmm.

Mine would be a horse movie, and it would be about a day in my life when my mare gave birth to a foal..which was a complete SURPRISE. It was the day I graduated from high school. I named him Royal Surprise! I think Jennifer Aniston would play me, because I have always just liked and related to her. And I don't know if she knows how to ride horses, so you better have a backup. or, i could play me, since I know me and would need almost no research for the role. Which could only save you money, right?

Side note: I absolutely LOVED your post about your paintings, and I need to do that too. Loved it. I am also a Europe lover, and love to imagine climbing into a painting. Oil is so romantic! I am going to go back and read your post another three or four times. Loved it that much!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Love the dishes. Cute.

Can't imagine anyone wanting to watch a movie about my life, but I have thought of writing a book of some sort about dating and purity and I guess Joey and my unique dating story would be the topic. It would probably end up being some kind of romantic/motivational/inspirational type movie I guess.

Some crazy people tell me I look like Gina Davis or Jennifer Garner, so I guess maybe they could play me. My son saw a picture of Sarah Palin on the computer the other day and asked if it was a picture of me. She could play me any day - I think she might be my new hero :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Mine would be an action/romantic/comedy about my road trip across the U.S. with my best friend when we graduated high school. I think that Drew Barrymore would be perfect to play me in this role!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I want to win these plates! Beautiful!

If my life was a movie it would probably be a some kind of lifetime movie about the last 3 years of my life. A lot of people think I look like Hilary Swank so I wouldn't mind if she played me.

    ReplyDelete
  24. A movie about me would have to be something like, The Four Stooges titled..."Manny, Mo, Curly, and Me!"

    :-)

Except it would actually be funny and maybe Ellen would star in it because people used to tell me I looked like her when my hair was short and blond.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Julia Roberts would play me and it would be a dramatic comedy about building a dream!

    ReplyDelete
  26. If there were to be a movie made about my life, I think it would be a "feel good movie". There would be parts that would make you laugh, cry, yell, but in the end make you feel good all around.

I wouldn't want it about one specific event, but perhaps more of a "diary" entry approach, summarizing the bigger events in my life...

I'm a strong believer that in our lives there is a message in each event we've gone through.

Who would I choose to play the part of me? Why not ME!? If I had to choose a professional actress, I think I'd go with Sandra Bullock. Why? She can pull off serious and hilarious in the same scene! :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh, yes, and I LINKED you!

p.s. those dishes match my kitchen!

    *FINGERS CROSSED* :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Reece Withersoon --- a life filled with purusing many dreams.

    ReplyDelete
  29. It would definitely be a romantic comedy of our story- boy meets girl, girl tries at all costs to make the boy not like her (he's too old!), horrendous first date, heartbreak, other guy, awkwardness, back to being friends, boy's 5 month trip to germany leads to girl revealing feelings for boy, boy comes back after 2 weeks, they date, they engage, they marry...oh yes. the stuff of movies, and it's all real! Charles would be played by Johnny Depp, I would be played by...wowza, that's tough...who do you think? I don't know who i look like!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Drama. About my college days-they were the most interesting/entertaining....and Reese Witherspoon would have to play me-b/c we kindof look alike! :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I am new to your blog...love it! Hmmm...a movie about my childhood would be fun. I grew up in a family of five kids...there was never a dull moment. We still laugh about things that happenned when we were little. My daughter should play me....she is my mini-me. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. hey! this is lauren stewart (kucharski). mine would be a comedy about all the stupid blonde moments i've had. ie..mom, how do you rewind this dvd??? yes i admit i asked that question. the other day i even made a comment about how i could get eggs from a cow. i had dairy on the brain! haha! i would have reese witherspoon play me. kinda like a legally blonde thing. it would be hilarious!!! pick me, pick me!
    lauren

  33. I think it would be a comedy about my life and I would want Reese Witherspoon to play me. She's my favorite actress!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Mine would definitely be a romantic comedy. If you met my husband, you would understand. :) If I had to choose someone to play me...maybe Jennifer Garner. I think she's super cute.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh my goodness! Your blog is so lovely, and I will continue to keep stopping by! ;) And what a great contest!!

My movie would be a whimsical fairy tale movie about a girl who lives for mystery, adventure, and beauty. Evangeline Lily from LOST would be my choice. She's got that curly hair! ;)

    Have a wonderful day!

    ReplyDelete
  36. great giveaway!

it would be a comedy about all the crazy things that happen to me, and it would be played by either Kate Hudson or Cameron Diaz :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ok my movie would be a romantic comedy about Jon and I meeting in college. He was very popular and I not so much, all the girls flocked around him all the time. I met him and fell in love at first sight, and the journey began to win his heart. I would like Julia Roberts to play me. We look nothing alike but she is great.
    I love the dishes.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'd love to say I'm entering because I think I could win (cute, cute dishes!), but if I'm honest I'll tell you I never win anything. That's no exaggeration. I'll say I'm commenting because I usually comment on your posts anyway. :)

That's not to say this question is easy. I don't live a life that would be a box office hit :) Probably a romantic comedy. It would focus on my family, for sure, and have nothing to do with my job. I've been told I look like Kirsten Dunst or Claire Danes. Out of those two, DEFINITELY Claire Danes I'd pick to play me. I'm not a Kirsten Dunst fan - and I don't have snaggle teeth.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Fabulous dishes!

If they made a movie about me I think it would have to be a movie about finding yourself. People say I look like Kim Cattrall but I don't see it so I will go with Brittany Snow. :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. i linked you to my blog and mentioned your giveaway! entry #2!

    ReplyDelete
  41. It would be a romantic comedy about my journey as a wife and mother and I'd be played by Jennifer Aniston because I love her!

    ReplyDelete
  42. It would be a comedy about my life starring Sandra Bullock.

    ReplyDelete
  43. If I were to be made into a movie it would be a little romance and a little saddness! I wish it were more happiness:) It would be my journey to my one true love now my husband and how it took forever, i mean forever, and I made so many wrong turns on the way to him. It would also be about our journey on trying to get pregnant. I missed carried once in July and we are on the journey again. This is my first post

    ReplyDelete
  44. It would be a tragedy movie.
    Debra Winger would fit nicely.
A movie about an unplanned child that can't seem to win her mothers heart even when she's the only child that see's said mother. A story of the black sheep of the family that in the later years of life turned out to be the best of the family's children. Throw in a cheating, mentally abusive husband and siblings and friends that use and take advantage until said black sheep ends up cutting them ALL out of her life, but add a beautiful son that was fathered by the love of her life that died in Viet Nam, and make her and her son have the best mother/child relationship EVER. Add a sucessful unconventional career and while not rich - not wanting for things, while everyone that treated her badly is struggling to make ends meet. Add artsy talent and pets and .... well it ain't over yet, so I don't know the ending !!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm not entering since I just won your last giveaway...but those are cute plates and I did post about your giveaway on my site. Oh and I also linked to your version of the caramel bar recipe.

    ~ Sarah

  46. I am back to enter twice since i mentioned your giveaway! Please ignore my comment about my "movie"--no more halfway drunken comments for me. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  47. It would be an adventure/comedy because, even in the most scary moments of a few adventures, I always found something to laugh about. Starring Sandra Bullock..she looks able to climb mountains and laugh while doing so.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Ohh...it would SO be a comedy. My life is one mess of humor, and I laugh at everything along the way. I'm not good at taking myself seriously AT ALL.

I think it would mostly be about college. I had TOO MUCH fun in college, but it was such a great time. It could so be Legally Blonde meets Animal House.

Hmmm...if anyone could play me...I would have to pick Christina Ricci as she is now...except I have really short hair [Agyness Deyn short]. She would need to cut it. We look almost EXACTLY alike. People always tell me that I look like her...when I was younger I was often mistaken for her.

    So, that is my story.

    misadventuresofanewlywed[at]gmail[dot]com.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh who with all the upa and downs and crazy moments of my life I guess it would be dramedy, I think Julia Roberts to play me.

    ReplyDelete
  50. My story would be drama and comedy...mother at 17, husband cheats and has substance abuse problem. Divorced without a dime to my name and 2 children. I find myself and then, My Better Half and live happily ever after.

Michell Pfeifer, I was told once I looked like her.

    ReplyDelete
  51. It would be a comedy, love story, because that is my life! it will be about a family that has many highs and lows but through it all loves each other and their crazy lifes. Meg Ryan will play me, John Cusack will play my husband and the kids are up for grabs..Found your blog through my friend Sheenagins. Looks like alot of fun! Hope I win, those are cute and Id love to send them to my daughter who just started college far far away!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hey there! Thanks for popping by my blog!

Fun giveaway! Let's see... It would have to be a chick flick starring Jennifer Garner as me. I'm sure it would have to be a look back at how I became totally famous for something extraordinary. I haven't figured out what that something is, but I've got lots of ideas.

    ReplyDelete
  53. OMG - you are amazing! What a ?!

Alright... they kinda already made a movie about me... It's White Oleander. Astrid's relationship with her mother is quite a bit like mine - completely f-ed up! Ali Lohman would play me - cause we actually look a lot alike. She plays Astrid int he movie too. Its a sad story - so I would hope for a follow up.

The follow up would be something along the lines of.....small town girl makes it big time but not without some crazy clumsy moments...I would like...to play myself! If not me then maybe Reese. I get compared to her pretty often...

I wish it was true though :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Thanks so much for the prayers. I appreciate it!

And, since I'm here, I'll do your giveaway entry.

My life would be a drama right now because of everything going on at my job (teacher) and my health. And, people repeatedly tell me I look like Molly Ringwald, so I guess she would play me.

Have a good time at your Bible Study.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Mine would be a boy meets girl romantic drama on like lifetime -- first time girl and boy meets he gives her a black eye with a ping pong table - they go through the worst life has to offer (death of my father) -- and it still ends with a happily ever after. I would want to be played by Reese Witherspoon!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I think it would be a comedy...played by Amy Poehler (sp). Loved your blog!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I love the dishes! What a great give away!
I think my movie would be a romantic comedy/drama...a few tears and lots of laughter. Sandra Bullock would be a good one to play me.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Sweet dishes!! And cooler weather - wherever you are I'm envious of you - it's SO not cool here yet.

My life would definitely be a drama - it's been full of many ups and downs, but it needs a little comedy mixed in there too. I would have it begin after I graduated high school until the time I was married - those were the most colorful, hard and wonderful years as I grew up into a woman and came into my own. As for the actress to play me, definitely Reese Witherspoon!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Love the plates!

My movie would be a comedy. Life is too short to not have fun!

My movie would be about by entire life and would highlight certain key points.

I would have Julia Roberts be the star because when I had long har, people contantly told me that I looked like her.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I can't pass this up! I saw it on Meg's blog!

If they made a movie about my life, it would most certainly be a comedy/drama since I can be realllly goofy but also deep too. It would have to be about the span of my life, since every part matters. And I have been told that the best celebrity to play me would be Amy Adams. (I don't know whether to take that as a compliment, or a cut! haha)

    ReplyDelete
  61. What a sweet give away! I appreciate you letting me know about it but I will pass on entering. They are so pretty but don't quite fit into my prim style. Good luck to some lucky winner!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Those are so pretty!

It would definitely be a comedy about how crazy my life can get and the funny things that happen while I am at work (I am a nanny.) It gets pretty funny. I would want somebody funny to play me like....um....maybe the girl from Baby Mama and Saturday Night Live. (Sorry my mind just went blank on her name!) :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hi! This is a fantastic giveaway - thanks for the heads up:)And yes - married life is the best!!

Ok - so here's my movie. It's going to have to be a drama because I'm sort of an emotional drama queen. It would span a 7-year chunk of my life - meeting my future husband, dating (long-distance some), and moving away from the only home I ever knew (wisconsin) to DC and making a life of our own.

I'd pick Rachel Bilson to play me - because I think she is awesome, beautiful and needs to find that perfect role to hit the bigtime in movies:) Hehe - would anyone actually watch my movie?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yummy plates!

Mine would probably be a straight-up comedy. At least I'd want it to be. I mean, who doesn't look back on it all and laugh, or who hasn't said that if they didn't laugh they'd have to cry, or laughter is the best medicine, or insert another cliche here... ;) Who'd play me? No clue - I'm not a huge movie fan, myself. But back before I turned 30 & had my last 2 kids I was once mistaken for Michelle Pfiefer. No danger of that happening again...haha!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Oooh beautiful plates!

A movie about my life... would be a dramatic comedy. Do those those exist? :) I'm silly and love to laugh, but I have a hard time taking life lightly! So it would be a good mix. And I would be played by Michelle Williams. It has been said that I look similar to her. :)

I have been to your blog a few times, but was specifically sent by Megan (Wandering DC) today!

    ReplyDelete
  66. And...I've linked to your blog. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  67. A documentary, about my struggles to have children, and Farrah Fawcett would play me. = )

    ReplyDelete
  68. My movie would be about my entire life and involve a combination of comedy and drama with a little romance thrown in for good measure. I would want Reece Witherspoon to play me even though we look nothing alike. I just love her!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Definitely a drama, it would be about my whole life - at least the post-college years on...I would choose Julia Roberts to play me, she is one of my all-time favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I just found your site and I'm already addicted!

To enter the giveaway and to answer your questions, here are my responses.

I'd want the movie to be a comedy, specifically about the misadventures of me being and Army wife and I'd want Reese Witherspoon to play me, I think she's the perfect combonation of pretty and intelligent!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Too cute dishes Whitney...love 'em!

I think the movies would have to be kinda sappy..romance flick on how I met Glenn and fell in love! I'd want Jennifer Aniston to play me...she's awesome!

    Hugz,
    Michele

  72. I found your blog through Princess Abigails. Those dishes are gorgeous. .. SO. . . .
a movie of my life would HAVE to be a musical. Everyone would break out into song and silliness at random times. Not to mention the fabulous costumes and dancing! I would have to be played by either Nicole Kidman or Maggie Smith. I'm sure Maggie Smith could pull off being a 25 year old! She's fabulous.

  73. Hmmm....probably a tragic comedy. So much sort-of tragedy, interspersed with craziness. That's my life!

  75. Ok - you're linked to the right on my page.

    ReplyDelete
  76. It would be a Hallmark movie, through-out my entire life highlighting crazy things that happen to normal people...Ashley Judd would be me.

I enjoy reading your blog...I never thought that I would be the wife of a farmer with baby #4 on the way-I was sure I was going to marry someone independently wealthy and travel the world! But we share a love of pretty things! I'm linking you to my blog!

    ReplyDelete
  77. My movie would be in the inspirational category about my life's walk with Christ beginning with my life as an unbeliever, my conversion, and the growth and trials, and hopefully end with the following generations putting their trust in Him as well. The actress, oh, man, I don't know! Umm...I really like Shannon Fields(Facing the Giants). I don't have as thick of a southern accent that I know of (;) ) or look like her but since it's hypothetical...

    ReplyDelete
  78. Whitney, I added a link to your giveaway on my blog! Those plates are too cute!

    ReplyDelete
  79. My movie would definitely be a comedy with some drama and romance thrown in. I would love for Jennifer Love Hewitt to play me, and the movie would have to encompass my entire life, because in my 26 years of life, I have yet to completely figure everything out, and the movie will have to have some kind of conclusion/happy ending (I hope!):-).

    ReplyDelete
  80. My film would probably be a slightly-boring drama about, the husband and I and our family... I would most likely want Julia Roberts to play me, not because we look alike but because she's in a lot of good drama/chick flicks...or maybe even Jennie Garth because some people say I used to look like her..

    ReplyDelete
  81. I linked you! Great give away!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Beautiful dishes! If there was a movie made of my life it would probably be title "The fanatical Housekeeper" It would be a comedy/drama with Kathryn Hepburn as my choice for me, because she is so busylike, but glamorous.
    c. leavy from clara's cottage

    ReplyDelete
  83. It would be a comedy about my life with my sisters and what a great life we have had together. I am thinking that someone funny should play me. Maybe Bonnie Hunt. I think she is hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  84. My life as a movie would be straight comedy. Please, you should see what I get myself into sometimes. Who would I want to play me? Hmmm. . . that is a hard one- Jennifer Garner. It would be about my whole life. I think it would be a string of funny stuff that happens to me and me putting my foot in my mouth - a lot!

  85. I'm going to go with....drama and it would be my entire life! I would be played by Winona Ryder....yeah, that sounds good!

  86. Those plates are awesome...my movie would be a comedy for sure. It would mainly revolve around my husband and I and our dogs. Sort of like a Marley and Me type (minus the sad parts) And I would want Jennifer Aniston to play me!

  87. If my life were a movie, it would be a romantic comedy...minues the romance. Romance is a term loosly defined in my book, I'm only 17.
It would star myself, and my best friend Cait. We are this century's Lizzie and Jane(from Pride and Predjudice).
This movie would take place in downtown Dallas, which is where one of our finest memories was made.
We were both interns with a college youth program over the summer, and the last week, our group took a retreat. We stayed at The Palomar, ate a little Bistros, and shopped at stores that we could barely afford to walk in. We were indeed, bubbling over with joy. Haha. The movie would just be about our adventures together in the middle of Dallas...which is entertainment enough, rest assured. Although we like to pretend we're classy, grace and poise is not in my genetics.
Cait would be played by Keira Knightley, and I would be played by Natalie Portman.

  88. Great blog! I just found you today.

If someone decided to make a movie about my life it would probably chronicle my aimless wanderings and messy missteps until I found Christ as an adult.

Who would play me? Hmmmm...Emily from Chatting at the Sky recently said that my blog photo looks like Kristen Davis. I think Emily must have major vision impairment, but we'll go with that. :-)

Great giveaway! Pick me! Pick me!

  89. I think it be drama but boring... and I don't know who could play me as long as they are thinner than me I'm good.
    Love love love the dishes

  90. a romantic comedy about how my hubby & i got together (it was a 3-year pursuit), starring sandra bullock. =)

  91. What a cool set of dishes--Ok on to the question.
Is there such a movie as a drama/documentary and action/comedy all wrapped up into one? Just the personality I am- drama queen-comic and how hubby can be analytical and all actionny--it would be the great american story. I would totally want Jennifer Garner to play me cuz it would be so Sidney Bristow to hubby's Jack Bauer.

  92. My movie would be a drama, probably about a lot of the hardships (self-inflicted) that I overcame when I was younger. I'd want Anne Hathaway to play me. :)

  93. I think my life would probably be a comedy or drama!! I would want Taylor Swift to play me...I know, I know...she's a singer, but hey! It would be about all the little things I either notice or enjoy about life!!

  94. It would probably be a comedy, with a hint of drama. I think Steve Martin would have to be in it (because it seems that totally crazy, "couldn't happen to anyone" things happen to him), but he couldn't play me-so I'd probably be played by Rosie O'Donnell. (And I'm only picking her because one day a little kid came up to me and said, "Look, it's the woman from the Rosie O'Donnell show!" :-)

    Fun contest!

  95. I love those plates! If they made a movie about my life I think it would be a bit of a comedy...but a fun and playful one, not those embarrassing kind of comedies. Angelina Jolie would play me because I look JUST like her! (HA! Oh, wait...maybe not....LOL!) I would just stick to my adult life...post marriage...that's where it started to get fun!

  96. Glad you found my blog! I love meeting other medical wives!!

    As for my movie:
Comedy for sure. Starring Will Ferrel (in drag, just like I said on my blog). It would be Mrs. Doubtfire esq. chronicling my quest to become a domestic goddess. :)

Looking forward to getting to read more about you!

  97. What a wonderful idea! I linked over from Amber's blog.

I think that the movie about my life would be a drama, about the last 2 years of my life (with a quick intro leading into it). My youngest daughter was born with a CHD & she will be 2 a week from this Wednesday. What a roller coaster the last 2 years have been! I guess that I would like Sandra Bullock to play me. She is such a strong presence on the screen & has such a range! I think she's a great actress!
    Thanks for the contest!

  101. My life as a movie.....hmmm. I believe that it would definitely be a movie with lots of singing and dancing - the dancers would have to pretend to dance badly, as to play my part correctly, since this is what I have done my whole life in the confines of my own home. It would be a comedy (mostly) with a few dramatic turns, and some romance (with the "husby" of course). I would probably begin with my being unceremoniously kicked out of preschool ballet due to my overwhelming desire to wear a tiara. I would move through the awful but wonderful years of pre-adolescent and adolescent ages, full of braces and gangly awkwardness. It would chronicle my journey through college, and finally meeting my future husband - which could actually be a whole romantic story in itself. To play me, I would probably choose either Drew Barrymore or Liv Tyler. I would actually like to choose Audrey Hepburn, but seeing as she is dead I don't think that would work out too well. I HOPE I WIN, I LOVE DISHES!!!

  102. That is so funny. I just mentioned this in my blog. I would have to say that there is already a movie out about my life or at least this part of my life. Kit Kittredge an American girl. It is about a girl in the depression whose family is losing their house and are doing anything to survive. That is totally where I am at right now. So there it is my movie is already made, just some of the facts are a little off but not by much.

  104. My movie would be a dramedy with bits and pieces of my whole life in it :) I would be played by some unknown actress who will be made famous by her role as me in the film! hehe :D

  105. Let's see.....

The movie about my life would be a Christian movie about learning to be different from the world and learning how to walk daily with the Lord. I'd like for it to be like my life journey...only on film, hehe!

I think that Gwyneth Paltrow would play me best....since we look kinda similar. Although are beliefs aren't the same :/

I need TWO entries. I'm blogging your contest!

  106. My movie would need to be an action/adventure... because I'd be interested to know what my life would be life if it was adventerous. ;) And those are my favorite types of movies! And while we're dreaming, I would like Mariska Hargitay to play me. I love her!

What a wonderful suprise this morning!

  108. Love the plates!!

Let's see... my movie... I think it would have to be an drama/comedy/adventure (do they have such a thing) set to music so there would need to be a lot of singing. It would have to be about my whole life. There is ever a dull moment... though maybe the rest of the world wouldn't think so. That's why I would need Kate Hudson to play me to get the audience through the rough patches. ;-)

I've linked you on my blog too!
